Get Leads 5 – Develop Content

by Gail Ramberg on June 17, 2010

Here is what we’ve covered so far:

  • You need massive leads and “selling” your MLM won’t do it.
  • People will come to you if you can provide value and help solve their problems.
  • You can provide value and solve problems through the content in your automated email system.
  • The newsletter content you deliver to your prospects must be valuable to them.

Develop Content Around Your MLM And Market That Content

You have three options for developing content – we covered the first two on the previous page Get Leads 4 – Newsletter Content).

1 – Check out the system that I use.  (check out the link)   This system has integrated auto-responders with content to brand you as a leader and teach other network marketers how to market.  Your MLM is easily integrated into the system and quality affiliate products are already identified.

2 – “Steal” the content of my auto-responder.  (from the previous page)  You can get a copy of my auto-responder series and update it with your own information.

3 - Develop Content - Develop content on your own and focus on marketing to your MLM audience instead of network marketers.  AWeber only costs $1 for the first month and they have hundreds of templates to help get you started.

I highly, highly, highly recommend targeting people already in the network marketing industry, but you can also still follow this blueprint if you choose to focus only on more general marketing.  Keep reading.

How To Develop Content On Your Own

The focus of your newsletter content has to be somewhat related to your MLM, but it can’t directly be your MLM.  You want the valuable information you are providing to be similar enough so that it makes sense to “advertise” your MLM there.

Remember the keys to attracting people to you:

  • Educate them
  • Help them solve their problems

****************************************************************************************

Develop a newsletter series around the problems that your MLM products propose to fix and then pack it full of content to educate them and solve their problems related to the topic.

***************************************************************************************

Here are a few examples:

Melaleuca, Herbalife, ForMor, Shaklee, etc
Don’t develop newsletter content about Melaleuca products, etc… develop content about Wellness

If you focus your newsletter content on Wellness and market it to people interested in this topic, it makes sense to include some content specific to Melaleuca products.  These people are already targeted and interested in Wellness… it makes sense that they will be more open to your business than others.   You have a wider audience because more people are interested in Wellness than in your products and but your audience is much, much more targeted.

It Works, Arbonne, Beauti Control, Forever Living, SeneGence, etc.
Develop your newsletter content on health and beauty.

At Home America, Gold Canyon, Mia Bella, etc.
Develop your newsletter content on home decorating.

Cookie Lee, Latasia, Richmont Direct, Vantel Pearls, etc.
Develop your newsletter content on jewelry.

It probably sounds like a broken record, but remember… if this is just a sales letter for your MLM business, no one will read it.  You have to provide valuable content that they will want to read.

Places To Find Content

The resources you can use to find and help you develop content are virtually unlimited, just keep your eyes open.

Some specific examples are:

  • Newsletters from your MLM company
  • Magazines
  • Online magazines
  • Internet browser home pages
  • Newspapers
