Pull It All Together
If you don’t “sell” your MLM, what are you marketing? You’re “selling” the content in your newsletters. To stay with the Melaleuca example from the previous page, you’re selling a newsletter about Wellness. People who are reading your emails to learn more about wellness will want to hear more about your Melaleuca products.
Putting It All Together means getting a new domain name and capture page to make your system complete.
- Your marketing is focused on getting people to your new capture page (at your new domain) name.
- Your prospects input their contact information to get added to auto-responder series.
- They start getting your automated email messages that contain content so valuable they will want to keep reading them.
- They are constantly reminded of the MLM business that would help solve some of the problems they’re reading about.
Luckily, today getting a domain name and capture page are really easy.
Get A Domain Name
You need a domain name that relates to the content of your auto-responder messages. It should be something that you would click on if you saw it in an advertisement. Your new domain name should bounce around your head a little and have a catchy little ring to it that people will remember. I have a really good (FREE) e-book available about this topic. My first attempt was a failure. I rushed through the process because I was in a hurry to get started. Eventually I realized that my domain name wasn’t related enough to what I was doing. I spent just a few bucks, created a better domain and my results instantly doubled.
If you get your domain name at GoDaddy, you also get a free website (capture page) and email. You will need email attached to your domain so people can contact you.
Here is what you do:
- Sign up with AWeber.
- Get a new domain name.
- Use your free website to create a capture page.
- Create a Web Form in AWeber.
- Copy/paste the code into your capture page.

This may sound complicated, but it’s not… these websites walk you through the process.
If you’re ready to give up because this is too hard, you should stop trying. You can continue on your current path, probably spending more money than you are making -or- you can recognize that you need to take action and follow the blueprint I’m giving you to build your MLM into the business you always dreamed it would be.
How To Duplicate Your Success
The last piece of the puzzle is that you have to show your leads how easy it will be for them to duplicate your success.
You already know that the network marketing world isn’t about you being successful. In order to make real money, you have to find a way for your MLM downline to be successful. If your system can’t be easily duplicated you may get a few sign ups, but they will soon drop out… then all your time and effort (and money!) will have been wasted. We all know how frustrating that is.
Nobody will want to join you if they have to start from scratch to build a system/business and go through the learning curve. You want to make it as easy as possible for them to join and have instant success. Your potential leads have to believe that it will be easy for them to join your business and get up and running quickly.
The easiest way is to have a system that they can join. If there isn’t a system they can join, make sure you create a very detailed, step-by-step process for them to follow. Remember that you don’t have success unless they have success. Do everything that you can to get them started where you are now… not where you started.
Give Them Resources
How do they get started? You will probably point them to the MLM company info, but give them some direction after that.
- Fill them in on the “company line” and on the stuff the company doesn’t tell them.
- Give them any “welcome” messages, etc that you’ve already written to send to your leads. Don’t make the new guys recreate the wheel.
- Plug them into your upline.
The upline in my MLM business is a great example of this. In fact, this is the reason I joined. The most successful network marketers in the industry hold two webinar presentations every day. All we have to do is send people to their webinars. They don’t give out links or contact information, at the end of the webinar, they send the leads back to us.
This is the best way to get your new signees started quickly. If you can’t hold daily webinars, figure out a way to get on the phone with them when they’re talking to prospects. Help them have success and they will learn how to do it and experience success that will keep them motivated.
Help Them With Marketing
Have you already figured out the learning curve on Google? Give them your keywords and adgroups. Have you focused on email marketing? Give them copies of your emails and the results from each one. Video Marketing? Let them know what you use to create the videos and how you distribute them. Article/content marketing? Give them a list of all of the articles you’ve written so they can see the ideas are limitless.
Don’t just give them the ads, articles, etc that you got from your system. Frequently this information is outdated and/or over saturated. It’s already been given to thousands and thousands of people. It’s also likely that it’s too old to be successful at this point.
Give them the stuff that is actually giving you successful results. The more success they see early, the more likely they are to stick around!
Remember: you’re trying to build a business, not just earn a few months commissions.
