Article Marketing Strategies

Article Marketing is the hot new thing in the MLM world.  You basically do research some keywords, determine your content, write your article and submit it to different submission sites.   There are two ways to get leads through article marketing.  You can get leads from people who read the articles (and click on your link in the resource box).  You can also get leads indirectly.  What this means is that the articles link back to your website which increases its SEO value and raises you in the Google rankings.

Article Marketing is a free network marketing strategy, although there a few great new tools available that can really blow up your results (in a good way).  Another big benefit for Article Marketing is that your articles are on the internet forever.  If you change your marketing strategy and stop submitting new articles, your old ones will still be working for you to drive traffic to your website.

This video is from a guy who absolutely exploded onto the network marketing world in 4 months using article marketing.  He gives all of the details you need to succeed with this strategy.  This really is one of the best sources you can find.  This particular video has been packaged and sold on its own.  Head’s up… the video can take a few minutes to load, but it’s worth the wait.  Automatic Article Submitter is a tool talked about in the video.  Check out the Tools & Resources section below for more information.

The first half of this video is about article marketing fundamentals, the second half is about the coolest tool I have seen in a long time.  It literally takes one article and turns it into over a thousand unique articles and automatically submits the articles.  Check out the Tools & Resources section below for more information.

Strategy

Make a schedule to post a new article every other day.   You must commit to submitting articles on a regular basis.  As the number of articles you publish build up the traffic will start coming to your site and you will begin to get leads.  Write an article every few days and submit to 3 or 4 article submission services.  Only submit one of your articles to several different sites, then move to your next article.

Principles Of Article Marketing

• Keep your article at 500 – 800 words.  Remember that no one actually reads anymore, they skim.
• Keep your sentences short and paragraphs under 4 sentences.  This will make it more likely that the reader actually reads vs skims.
• Originality + relevant content + link popularity + consistent effort =  success.
• Headlines matter and they must be relevant – to both the search engines and to clickers.
• The article is about providing content, but the Resource box is where the advertising happens.

Basic Article Marketing

• Write an article about your niche (keyword) – Remember to put a link back to your site.  You want to get leads from these direct links.
• Create several versions of your article – Google filters out duplicate content so you don’t want the same article everywhere.
• Submit to the top article directories.
• Keep sending new unique versions to as many directories and niche blogs as you can find.
• Repeat this over and over and over again.   As you increase the number of links you will increase your rankings… which will increase your traffic… which will get you more leads.

People point all content to one page.
People don’t create variations of their articles and submit them to hundreds of directories.

Super Charging Your Article Marketing
Article Marketing is relatively easy to start in its basic strategy.  However, it is possible to “blow up” your marketing by incorporating many strategies shown on the Advanced Marketing page (coming soon).

Getting Organic Results
If you really want to get leads from article marketing, this is one of the things that is critical.  Getting organic results comes from two things:

On-page Factors
This is what you (and Google) can actually see on the page.

Off-page factors
This is a combination of link reputation (don’t use “click here” as a link) and link popularity (how many sites link to yours).

You need both on-page and off-page to get leads and see success in the network marketing industry.  i.e. You need lots of links pointing to you (back links) and you need lots of these links to have anchor texts that match your target keywords.   There is more detail on this in the Unique Article Wizard video shown in the Training Video section (which I highly recommend).

Four Step Process
There is a four step process to dramatically increase your results.  The David Wood videos from the Training Video section above show a great deal more detail and I highly recommend them.

• Create an original article – 500 – 700 words.
• Bookmark your article using onlywire.com – This automatically places bookmark on top 26 sites.
• Promote content through video sharing networks like.  Create a 30 second video to promote the article.  i.e.  “if you’re in Amway, you need to read this article”.   Use Traffic Geyser to help with this, but UNCHECK YouTube.
• Do an article submission promoting your content.  This is the most important step.   Links from all your promotions need to go back to the original article.  (for SEO rankings)
  You want as many bridges as possible from as many places as possible leading people there.
  The best ways to create bridges – Social bookmarking, video promotion, article marketing.
