Video Marketing Strategies
Video Marketing is one of the easiest and most effective strategies to get quality leads to your site for free. You basically do some research keywords, develop content make a short video on a web cam/digital camera/digital video camera, add titles and tags and post it to YouTube. Then you can publish the same video to other sites on the web. Check Google for “video submission sites” or use the tool below for a shortcut.
Video Marketing is free. The other big positive is that once you create videos and submit them, they are out on the web forever. If you video market for six months and then focus on something else, your six months of videos will still be out there working for you.
You do have to be comfortable on camera for this to work for you, but don’t avoid it just because of that. Many people will tell you that they were very uncomfortable making their first video but it got much easier as they got more comfortable with it.
Important Stuff To Know
Be sure to include the following in your video description:
- Your capture page address so they can easily take the next step
- Write a few paragraphs describing your video so they know what great content is in the video that they will want to see
- Include your related keywords
- Be yourself and let your personality show, but be sure to provide tons and tons of value
- Use the keyword in the headline for better search results
- Always put your domain name, name and phone number in each video description – people are ADD, you need to make it really, really easy for them to contact you
- Make sure your channel also shows websites as well so people can see you in different places
- Connect it to FB & Twitter when you’re ready so you can announce blog updates to many different places.
- Video length should be 2-5 minutes… although others will tell you it’s ok to go up to 10 minutes
- Interact with those who post so you will continue to build credibility with your audience
Content

The basic layout of your video should include 4 key elements:
- An opening statement (sometimes called My Story – this helps start making a personal connection)
- Your background – this usually talks about a common problem experienced by both you and the reader
- Your solution – this is the value and content the reader is after
- Call to action – this is where you tell them about your website, etc. This is overlooked a lot but if you don’t tell them what you want them to do next, they won’t do it

New Rules To Avoid The YouTube Slap
One of the major changes in network marketing over the last year is known as the “YouTube Slap”.
Video marketing is still a great way to market your business, but you must treat YouTube differently from the other places you will want to use to distribute your videos.
These rules apply specifically to YouTube. You will want to submit your videos to many additional channels, but these rules apply specifically to YouTube. If you don’t follow these, you will be banned.
- You can only have 1 account for your ISP
- Never spam your title, video description or tags with keywords
- Don’t purchase YouTube views
- Never use software to add comments, ratings or friends automatically
- Never upload duplicate content
- Provide real value and use your channel for more than just marketing
- Don’t just make it a sales pitch
- Think long term with YouTube - You should only be using YouTube for branding purposes
- Don’t use Tubeblasterpro or Traffic Geyser on YouTube. You can use them in other places but you cannot use them on YouTube
